Dialectic Journals

"I swung with everything I had. Alexandros spun and dropped,face-fist into the dirt, blood and spittle slinging from the side of his mouth"
When i read this i could picture what was happening in the story. I like how the author wrote this part.i could see his partner falling down and the blood coming out of his mouth. Its really gross but you can imagine whats happening.

"I fear the sea anytime, but never more than on a moonless night and in the hands of strangers."
i also like this one because when you read it you can tell that they are scared being out at sea and it's a moonless night, and they are with strangers. So they don't feel safe. I would be scared if i was out at sea and the moon wasn't out and if i was with strangers.
