The movie The Secret Life of bees was really good and it was alot like the book. Three things that were different from the book was that in the movie they didn't talk alot about the black Mary like they did in the book, in almost every chapter they talked about the black Mary. In the movie they skipped alot of parts,like in the beginning when Rosaleen took the two fans from the church,and when they took Lily and Rosaleen to the jail.
Some of the things that were the same were when they had the church meeting in the house,when they all went up to the black Mary and put their hand on her heart, and when Lily's mom died. I loved the movie,it's one of my favorite movies now. It was very sad when may died,and when august read the note that she left before she died. All the actors did a very good job. I loved the whole movie!
The book was really good too, when i watched the movie i remembered all the parts of the book,and i was watching to see if they changed anything. The movie and book were good, Now The Secret Life of Bees is my favorite movie and book!
